Micoperi awarded Ghana EPC contract
Micoperi SPA have signed an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with Quantum Power Ghana Gas Limited (“Quantum Power”) for the TemaLNG import terminal located close to Accra in Ghana (“TemaLNG Project”). Earlier this year, the Tema LNG Project executed an offtake agreement with Ghana’s national oil and gas company and national gas aggregator, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) as well as a time charter party agreement with Höegh LNG of Norway. The contract is subject to customary conditions precedent.
The EPC contract is for the construction of the full off- and on-shore project infrastructure, which will connect the Floating Storage Regasification Unit utilized by the Project to the on-shore gas distribution network. The infrastructure construction for the project is planned to start early 2017 and to be ready in 12 months following commencement of the construction work.
