Gulf Drilling signs Dolphin drilling contracts

Gulf International Services (“GIS” or “the group”; QE: GISS), the largest service group in Qatar, with interests in a broad cross-section of industries, ranging from insurance, re-insurance, fund management, onshore and offshore drilling, accommodation barge, helicopter transportation, and catering services, announces that its subsidiary Gulf Drilling International (GDI) have signed a contract for Drilling Rig Services. The contract was signed by Mr. Mubarak A. Al Hajri, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of GDI and Mr. Hassan Al-Emadi, General Manager, Dolphin Energy – Qatar.

The work under this contract will be performed by the high spec jack-up rig “Al Jassra” and will consist of drilling three wells on the DOL 1 production platform located in offshore waters of Qatar. The service will commence in February.

GDI has provided liftboat services to Dolphin Energy in the past and noted that its new liftboat Al Safliya’ is set to commence working for Dolphin Energy under a 5-year contract later this month.

Mr. Mubarak A. Getting young or even older children to prepare to move and leave their friends and family behind can be a challenge and should be thought through.

The options for education is another area that needs to be thought through.

Moving your child to a new country with a different education system can be a great opportunity to broaden their experience, but if they are close to key exams the timing can make this inadvisable. If you do take your family with you, it is important to decide between joining the local school system or choosing an international school.

Whether you will be living in a house or apartment, furnished or unfurnished, these decisions will affect what you need to take with you.
