Hyundai Rotem Wins $315m Qatar Deal
Hyundai Rotem, a South Korean leader in steelmaking and environmental facilities, said it has clinched a 350.9 billion won ($315 million) order to build a sewage treatment plant in Qatar, said a report.
As per the contract, the Korean firm will set up a treatment facility in the city of Al Dhakira, northeast of capital Doha, which can treat up to 56,000 tonnes of wastewater per day by 2018, reported the Korea Bizwire.
The project, which is the largest ever sewage facility contract for a Korean firm, was awarded by Ashghal, the Public Works Authority of Qatar.
