Pöyry win hydro plant in Cambodia
Hydro Power Lower Se San 2 Company Limited has awarded Pöyry with a consulting assignment for the construction of Lower Se San 2 (LSS2) hydropower plant in Cambodia.
The assignment includes Independent Engineer services consisting of construction monitoring and inspection during the entire construction period. The LSS2 hydropower plant will be for power generation with a daily regulation capacity for grid regulation and peak production. The installed capacity will be 400 MW and mean annual energy output will be 1.97 billion kWh. The project will be executed up to the end of 2018.
The project, developed by Hydro Power Lower Se San 2 Co. Ltd, is located on the main stream of the Se San River in Se San District in Stueng Traeng Province of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The value of the order is not disclosed. The order will be recognised within the Energy Business Group order stock in Q1/2015.
