Petra wins 5-year MCM contract from Petronas
Petra Resources Sdn Bhd (“Petra Resources” or “the Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of integrated brown field services provider Petra Energy Berhad, was recently awarded the Provision of Maintenance, Construction and Modification (MCM) services under Package B (Offshore) Sabah (“the Contract”) by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd
(”PETRONAS Carigali”).
The duration of the Contract will be for a primary period of five (5) years, with one (1) year extension option, effective from 20th September 2017 and will expire on 19th September 2022. Under the terms of the Contract, Petra Resources, amongst others, will provide Contract Management, Project Execution, Procurement and Marine Spread to undertake maintenance activities for PETRONAS Carigali’s facilities at offshore Sabah.
Petra Resources in a statement said, MCM is the Group’s core competency. The Company is very pleased with the award of the MCM contract and look forward to add value to its client through effective service delivery.
The award of this contract would contribute positively towards the company’s overall earnings for the period thus enhancing shareholder value.
