Project: P006, East Industrial Road Interchange at Intersections. Project Cost: QAR 226 million until September 2015
Manage a team of Six (6) Quantity Surveyors for contracts worth QAR 3.40 billion. Provide assistance to the Senior Resident Engineer in all commercial and contractual aspects, ensure contractor adheres to legal requirements, owner’s specifications and government regulations. Review change requests, recommend site instructions and prepare contract change notices related to deviations from the contract. Maintain complete and comprehensive audit file for each contract. Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and financial reports for PMC, contractor, subcontractors and third parties. Monitor contractor’s performance, present status updates and reports on the contractor’s and owner’s deliverables.
Key Contributions:
• Collaborate and coordinate meetings with commercial teams of both Contractors & PMC.
• Provide recommendations on interim payments and evaluate variation orders taking follow up actions until client approval under Qatar General Conditions of Contract (FIDIC 87).
• Analyze the authenticity and significance of claims (Loss and Expense, and Prolongation Cost) with high level of transparency.
