Over the last 40+ years, extensive experience has been gained internationally (Europe, Middle East, & Far East) as Company
Representative (PMC and PMT), Project, QA/QC, Welding, Inspection, and NDT Manager / Engineer, for both Client, and
Contractor, from FEED stage through to Mechanical Completion / Pre-Commissioning, and Handover. Incorporating a wide
range of Experience:- Including Project Management, Supervision, & Monitoring of EPC Contracts, Quality Management
Systems & Quality Engineering (ISO 9000/14000/18000 Internal / External Auditing), Preparation and Review of Project
Quality Manuals, Quality Procedures, Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Records, and Certification, Welding
Engineering, Quality Control, Third Party Inspection, Destructive & Non Destructive testing, (UT, RT, MT, PT, AV PMI etc),

Integrated Project Management Team QA/ QC Manager
TECHNIP ITALY Spa – TRANS ADRIATIC PIPELINE PROJECT, (4.5 Billion Euro) Baar,
My duties as Integrated Project Management Team QA/ QC Manager, based in Company Head Office in Baar, Switzerland,
reporting directly to the Project Director, and also as a member of the Project Management Leadership Team, I am responsible
overall for all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities associated with Engineering, Procurement, Construction,
Welding, NDT, Coating, Inspection, Testing, Assurance Auditing, Vendor Inspections, Final Handover Documentation, and
Completions, ready for Pre-Commissioning for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline Project which is currently being constructed in
Albania. Greece, and Italy. I manage the QA / QC Actìvities in each country, through my Quality Management team which
consists of 3 In- Country Quality Managers, with 1 Quality Manager based in each of the 3 countries where the Pipeline and
Compressor Stations are being constructed. Each of these In Country Quality Managers have dedicated QC Personnel Teams
consisting of QC Lead Inspectors and Discipline Inspectors to monitor each Contractors Inspection and Testing work activities,
with Independent and Separate QC Organizational resources provided for Pipeline Contractor, and for the Compressor Station
Contractors. My duties also include organizing Monthly Quality Performance Review meetings with each In Country Quality
Manager for Albania, Greece, Italy and for the Compressor stations in Albania and Greece, I prepare the input for the Weekly
IPMT Functional Report, and also for the Monthly Board report, including the Quality Metrics and KPI statistics, I also
arrange the Monthly IPMT Quality Meetings where all of my In-Country Quality Managers, and CPP Coordinator attend via
teleconference and where Quality Concerns, from each country, and Lessons learned are itemized on the agenda and discussed
/ Shared amongst the team.
The summarized Project scope is as follows:- The Trans Adriatic Pipeline will transport gas from the Turkish-Greek border via
Greece and Albania across the Adriatic Sea to Italy, and is designed to expand transportation capacity from 10 to 20 BCM per
year. To achieve this aim the gas transported through the pipeline has to be pressurised at several locations. For this first 10
BCMY- case, two compressor stations are required, one in Kipoi (Greece) and one at Fier, close to the Albanian landfall
(Albania). Additionally, at the Greece/Albanian border a metering station has to be installed. The offshore pipeline routes
under the Adriatic Sea and ends at a pipeline-receiving terminal in Puglia (Italy) where the gas is tied in into the Snam Rete
Gas (SRG) Network

My Duties as Site Quality Manager working within an integrated team on this EPCM project include identification, review and
approval of all deliverables submitted by each of the over 30 Package Contractors (PC), Provision of Advice, Guidance and
Support on all Quality Matters for all Project Quality team, Construction team, and also Package Contractors QA/QC
Management and personnel in establishing, implementing and assuring the Quality Management Systems of each Package
Contractor by review and Auditing the effectiveness of the QMS. Facilitation and Development of Package Contractor’s
Quality Procedures, ITP’s, QC ProForma etc. Facilitation and provision of guidance in developing and establishing Work
Flows and Procedures. Provision of Specific Quality Training Packages to each Package Contractor in respect to ensuring that
the PC’s know and understand the Quality Processes and Procedure, training provided to date includes ITP’s, NEWS Welding
and NDT Management system, Welding, E & I, Blasting and Coating, Material Traceability, Request for Inspections,
Mechanical and NDT. Implementation of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Surveillance Activities tDocument Reviews,
Daily Liason with Package Contractors, RFI’s and Daily Inspection reports from the Quality Inspectors, coordination with Site
Construction Managers and Superintendents, and effective communication to all parties in respect to any Quality issues /
potential Issues discovered which may lead to Non Compliance with the Project requirements. Currently the Monitoring of the
Performance of Inspection, and Daily Surveillance Activities is actioned with a team of 78 Quality Department personnel,
including 4 QA Engineers, 5 Lead Inspectors, 46 Multi discipline Inspectors, and 3 Welding Engineers, 6 NEWS Data
Technicians, 1 NDE Level III Lead and 4 NDE Inspectors, and the remainder being Document Control and Admin personnel.
Implementation and Review of NEWS Welding and NDT Management system, to record and monitor all Process Pipe
Welding and NDT Testing, Performance of Receiving Inspections, troubleshooting of all Quality Issues. Review and Analysis
of NCR’s, issue of NCR’s review and recommendation of CAR’s and PAR’s, as well as opportunities for improvement, and
close monitoring, and tracking of these NCR’s to close out in a timely manner. Performance of scheduled Final Documentation
Audits and reviews, Attending weekly and monthly meetings, K.O.M’s, P.I.M’s Technical Bid Tabulations of New package
Contractors Quality and Technical document submittals etc. Preparation and Submittal of Quality Trend Indicators, KPI’s, and
Statistics information for inclusion in the Weekly and Monthly reports.

in the approved Inspection and Test Plans. Attend Weekly / Monthly meetings, Pre-contract clarification meetings, PIM’s and
K.O.M’s, Perform Technical Bid Tabulations. Continually monitor, the PQMS, and ensure that Audits are carried out as per
the approved audit plan, and monitor sub-contractors QMS, and ITP’s for their suitability against the planned project activities.
Co-ordinating with Certifying Authorities, to ensure all Regulatory Authority certification requirements were achieved.

the required LR LAME certification is issued for all 11 Cranes. Managing a team of 16 Multi-Cultural / Multi Discipline QC

tests are carried out as required by the approved Inspection and Test Plans, Co-ordinating with Certifying Authority (DPEM),
and Client to ensure all Algerian regulatory certification requirements were achieved, throughout the project duration.,
managing the QC department team of 60 personnel covering 5 remote site locations within Algeria.

My duties included, Review of Management and Sub-Contractor Deliverables. Provision of Guidance and Support for all
QA/QC related matters to local Consortium members (Technip, JGC, Technicas Reunidas), and Client (Dung Quat
Management Board-PetroVietnam) coordinating with Construction Managers from each Zone to ensure that all Inspections
and tests were carried out as required by the approved Field Quality Control Plans for each discipline, coordination with Field
Engineering and Op Centre Engineering teams, and with Certifying Authority (DNV), and Client to ensure all Vietnamese
regulatory certification requirements were achieved, throughout the project duration. Attend weekly progress meetings, Pre-
contract clarification meetings, and Sub-con K.O. meetings. Review / approval of Tech Cards for Materials, QC procedures
and FQCP’s. Monitoring and assessment of the company QMS, and subcontractors QMS, and FQCP’s for their suitability
against the planned project activities. Responsible for planning, scheduling, and carrying out all Company QMS Internal
Audits, and External Audits on all Construction Subcontractors within Vietnam. Responsible for managing the QC department
team of 92 personnel with approximately 50% Local Inspectors, and 50% Expat Inspectors.

of Pipeline Materials Supply and Construction Contracts, Review of Management and Supplier / Contractor Deliverables.
Provision of Support for all QA/QC related matters to local Consortium, and Client’s PMT Engineering Discipline teams, Co-
ordinating with TPI and Client to ensure all Indonesian MIGAS regulatory certification requirements were achieved,

projects carried out by Chevron Nigeria Ltd. for Onshore, Offshore, Swamp and Remote locations within Nigeria. This
included Onshore Structural and Piping Fabrication, Offshore hook-ups of Topsides to Jackets, Modifications to manned and
unmanned Platforms, Installation of New Risers, Offshore Installation of New Jackets, SEWOP Operations, Review of
Contract Documents to ensure that all required Quality Deliverables were included prior to bid issue. Visited sites throughout
Nigeria, onshore and offshore with the Inspectors, to ensure that Contractors complied with the codes / specs detailed in the
Contract documents. Responsible for 158 (74 expatriate / 84 national) Inspectors, Mob and Demob of Inspectors, and Planning
of Rotational Leaves.
