Client’s representative, responsible for the successful, safe and on time delivery of the material handling and utilities systems for a US$ 3B Green Field alumina refinery project. These systems include conveying systems for coke, alumina, bauxite and mud residue, crushers transfer towers etc. a sewage treatment plant, fire water and potable water networks, along with instrument air systems and a caustic balder and pipeline. I am responsible for coordinating and managing the construction activities of multiple contactors in both the Green Field and Brown Field areas.

Senior Project Manager - Aviation Fuel: Responsible for managing the successful delivery delivery of the AED 520M new Aviation Fuel network consisting of 42 Km of hydrant systems (mostly 36”) and 48 valve chambers, along with a hydrant control system including filed instrumentation, a SCADA and Emergency Shutdown system, tightness monitoring, leak detection and a valve control systems.
I was responsible for managing the Aviation Fuel elements of four separate contracts and the management of three design consultants. I was also responsible for managing the interfaces with new fuel depot contractor, and the fire life safety approval of the depot. I was responsible for interfacing with the End User’s, ADAC Projects and the Facility Management and Operations teams, along with ADAC planning, ORAT and the Airlines, and ensuring constancy (in design quality etc.) across all fuel packages.
The aviation fuel works, were both brown field and green field. As well as managing the installation of new hydrant systems I was also responsible for managing and safely completing on time upgrades and diversions to the existing on airport installations, with minimal disruption to operations. These works involved complex and carefully planned shutdowns impacting multiple (up to 10) stake holders.
Project Manager - South Airfield Rehabilitation Construction Package 2 (SAP2): Responsible for the completion and close out of the AED 640M SAP2 project. Responsible for the completion and handover of upgrades to taxiways, storm water, sanitary and fire water systems, AGL and VDGS systems, service roads and a new Cargo Apron as well as 22 KM of aviation fuel hydrant.
Project Manager (MEP) – Midfield Road Tunnel Package 2 (MART2): Responsible for the Installation testing and commissioning of the MEP systems for an AED 400M tunnel extension project
I reported directly to the Airfield Development Program Director, and was the ADAC single point of contact for all fuel related issues internally within ADAC and externally with ADNOC Distribution.

Group Design Manager Area 4:
Responsible for coordinating design issues and ensuring design consistency for the Area 4 works (Aircraft Maintainace Hangers, In Flight Catering Facility, Cargo Facility and Central Utility Plants 2, 3 & 4). These works were split up into four Design Build packages with a total value of approximately US$1.5B.
I was responsible for managing a team of Project Engineers and for interfacing with other internal departments and coordinating with, and reporting to the Client, End Users and external regulatory authorities.
CP16 (Aviation Fuel System) Resident Engineer:
Project Manager responsible for the management of the Aviation Fuel System contract. This was a US$160M contact and included 5 number 9,000m3 fuel tanks, 35 Km of underground fuel hydrant (16” and 24”), a pipeline receipt facility and 18 buildings along with all the associated mechanical electrical and control systems.
Managed the completion of the construction works and the pre commissioning and commissioning of the systems, and ensuring that these works were implemented efficiently safely and to schedule whist maintaining a high standard of quality. I was also responsible for the management of cost, change control and the interfaces with other Contractors, the Client and the End Users.

Contract Supervisor for the successful management and delivery of the Hot Bath Processing package from design through to start up. I was also responsible for managing the completion of the Cathode Sealing facility construction works and then the management of the Cathode Sealing Operations Contract, which was completed on schedule and with no variations.
I was responsible for the day to management of the contracts with a total value in excess of US$ 40 Million. I was also responsible for coordination between Engineering and Construction for the direct hire works being undertaken by Bechtel within the Carbon Area. In addition I was responsible for coordination between the engineering disciplines and the procurement department located in diverse locations as far apart as Montréal, Delhi, and Muscat. I also deputized for the Carbon Area Manager.

The project included all M,E&I and Civil works associated with three pumping stations.
Responsible for all aspects of the project, including all civil and M&E works technical, commercial, construction, installation, commissioning and safety etc. I was also responsible for reporting directly to the Client, and interfacing with third parties such as other contractors and regulatory bodies, attending design reviews and issuing design construction and safety reports.

Project Manager for e-Jet (Clients Representative) managing a US$20 million aviation fuel relocation project at Manila International Airport. The project consisted of the design of a new Tank Farm along with the associated buildings and utilities, and an 18 Km extension to the existing hydrant networks.
Responsible for putting managing a small project team, consisting of a Contracts Manger and Resident Engineer and a team of site inspectors providing site supervision, commercial, contractual and technical management of the EPC Contractor and their subcontractors. This involved design review and evaluation along with the management of the construction and commissioning and system hand over along with ensuring that the project was completed efficiently, safely and on budget whist maintaining the quality of the completed works.I was also responsible for the administration of EPC Contract and negotiating and managing change orders/claims.
I reported to the Project Director and directly to the Client team (JOCASP) as well as liaising with the Airport Authority and third parties.
