Summary

Design and implementation of fit for purpose Quality plans, inspection and test plans(ITP), inspection and test records(ITR), launching construction/fabrication quality improvement programs, reviewing and recommending QA/QC activities for upcoming projects – these skills are why leading industrial companies hire me for Quality leadership contract roles.

For the last 12+ years I have supported projects valued at up to $15B, overseeing EPCM Quality Programs, conducting audits at sites throughout North America, and maximizing compliance to regulatory and code requirements. My leadership style is based on my belief that open communication maximizing accountability and buy-in from all staff and contractors, leading to projects and components delivered on time and to the highest quality.

Offering earlier hands-on experience as a Steamfitter / Pipefitter and Supervisor, I honed my supervisory skills on small- and large-scale plant maintenance projects before progressing to quality-specific roles. My construction and project experience has covered multi discipline executions of the following areas; Oilsands, LNG, Gas Processing, Refining/Chemicals & Deep Water.

2018 Denali Spring Turnaround, acted as the Syncrude rep. for the mechanical turnaround scope in the 8-3 Coker area, responsibilities included; review and approval of the mechanical contractor’s ITP’s against the scope of work and Syncrude standards, verification and surveillance of welding procedure compliance in the field, assist NDT contractor with layout of UT repair areas on vessel wall, surveillance of vessel repair activities to ensure compliance to API 510 & ASME VIII. Liaise between the mechanical contractor and Engineering on resolution to RFI’s and MOC’s along with providing input in to proposed additional repair activities. Final walk down and signoff of the ITP and required regulatory documents in order to put the equipment back in service.

Part of the CMT group for the secondary extraction unit, responsible to lead a team of quality professionals to provide oversight to the construction contractors during the repair of 15 pressure vessels that have arrived on site with numerous defects that will need to be brought into regulatory and code compliance. Supporting project completion and turnover activities to ensure pressure piping, pressure equipment, rotating equipment, and insulation & fireproofing have met the correct project inspection requirements along with completion of supporting documentation prior to turnover to the Fort Hills asset.
