Summary

I have spent more than half of my life in the business of Constructing buildings of various types, and in a variety of roles. However, I am most valuable as a Construction or a Project Manager. and my diversity of experience helps me to confront each project from a position of experience, knowledge and strength.
From the beginning of pre-project planning, through construction documents for constructability review, on into bidding, and Construction, and Commissioning and Closeout, I understand building projects, and how to best leverage the assets and abilities available, to provide a successful conclusion for the project.
Seeing ahead, identifying trouble spots in drawings and avoiding the problems that these may create for a project is an important skill.
Because of my ability to understand both sides of a construction project, from both the side of the Contractor and from the side of the Architect, to benefit the Owner/Client, I am able to offer incomparable value to my employer and the project in general.
My skills are diverse, I am highly computer literate, and understand and perform both scheduling and estimating functions as a discipline and in practice using P6/7 Primavera, Meridian System's PM Software (Prolog), while also understanding and being a user of CAD design software packages such as Autocad, Datacad, Bentley Systems and others, as well as the entire Office Suite from Microsoft, including Word, Excel, etc.
In short, I am an experienced Building Professional, with a highly computer literate skillset, that also understands the entire building process from start to finish, and at every point in between.

RS Means - Cost Estimating Training
Certified Estimator

   Jun 2007
— Jul 2007

The training gives students the certification of Certified Estimator.
It is a two week class, and was held in Las Vegas, NV.
At the conclusion, successful students receive a certificate, and a credential which they can add to their resume.
I already knew how to estimate, but chose to get the certification anyway, as I thought it better to be formally trained, than from my own experience.
My experience in estimating comes from years as a general contractor, where I was called on to estimate packages for potential work, and for clients who were considering hiring me to do new work.
