Summary

Job Responsibility as a Chief Design Engineer:
A. Feasibility study, design study, trouble shooting and fault finding.
B. Preparation of Technical Specification for various equipment and system of new project as well as in renovation and modernization of old projects
C. Preparation of Technical Qualifying Requirements for Vendors, Tendering, Technical Bid Evaluation and finalization of scope of contracts.
D. Preparation of Heat and Mass Balance diagram, various flow diagrams (P&IDs), preparation of detailed project report (DPR) etc.
E. Reviewing vendor and sub-vendor engineering drawing and documentation, technical design review.
F. Basic design engineering, Engineering/process calculation and Sizing of static, rotating and package equipment, High Pressure and Low Pressure Steam-Water Heater, Condenser, High capacity horizontal and vertical pump for both water and oil application. Engineering of EOT crane and hoist.
G. Make purchase specifications and bill of quantities as required for the project execution.
H. Manage mechanical projects from inception, specification, design review, procurement, installation, commissioning etc.
I. Witnessing of Factory Acceptance Test, Type Test, Performance Test, Inspection, supervision of site installation etc.
J. Co-ordination with different disciplines and also with site personnel involved in construction of a power project and project management related jobs.
K. Co-ordinate the design between sub-suppliers.
L. Monitoring environmental, health and safety & QA compliance.
M. Administer Work Permits, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and other associated documentation when in a site supervision role.
N. Regular progress reporting, including supporting site Safety and Quality audits.

Job Responsibility as a Senior Commissioning Engineer:
A. Preparation of Standard Check List and Testing Schedule for commissioning.
B. Different pre-commissioning activities like hydraulic test, fill test, chemical cleaning, steam blowing, Oil Flushing etc. of different piping system associated with Turbine Cycle of a coal fired power plant.
C. Checking of protection and interlocks of different drives, equipments and system associated with the Turbine Cycle.
D. Trial run of different drives like condensate extraction pump, both motor and turbine driven boiler feed pump, cooling water pump, vacuum pump, air compressor, blower etc. and trouble shooting until stabilization.
E. Calibration of hydraulic control valves and commissioning of Turbine Governing System.
F. Turbine rolling, Test Synchronization, Load Raising etc. of both sub critical and super critical unit.
