► Led Spectrum Acquisition for global MSS operator in US and Middle East
► Checked/validated Business Plan Assumptions for global LEO satellite start-up
► Conducted Market Assessment for new high-speed satellite terminal for global IoT player

I was recruited into Thuraya to lead the Marketing team, which included Branding, Promotion and Pricing as well as Product Development and Management. I was also assigned to lead the Intercarrier and Roaming team who managed all of Thuraya’s interconnection arrangements and roaming agreements with other GSM operators. Finally, I was hired to build a Public Relations function and a Market Development team for commercial sectors.
During my tenure at Thuraya, I achieved the following:
► Revenue growth of 15% and achievement of EBITDA targets two years in a row
► Recruited PR team and established successful press outreach program which resulted in an increased of press mentions worldwide by seven times
► Launched new innovative products including the iPhone and Android SatSleeves, the Thuraya IP+, the Orion IP and Atlas IP maritime terminals, and the XT Hotspot.
►Created and built successful Market Development function to create awareness within end-user communities in the Maritime, Energy, Media and Humanitarians sectors.
► Designed and launched new website and grew monthly website visits by five times through aggressive social media strategy.
► Signed new distribution partners including Softbank Mobile, SMART and Airtel Africa.
