Shift In-charge / Shift Section Head
Coordinating tests for plant performance analysis along with performance tests, identification, and implementation of improvement projects, monitoring of plant operating efficiency. Monitor energy consumption within the plant, work towards achieving the required energy targets in line with best engineering practices & industry standards.
Suggesting & developing plans to reduce energy consumption & hence improve the plant efficiency metrics. Maintaining adequate records for data analysis & identifying improvement opportunities.
Ensuring execution of daily work schedule by supervising work permit issue and completion via the SAP based WCM module. Involved in successful migration of manual PTW system to SAP based Work Clearance Management. Preparation of Pilot Work clearance documents & implementation of Lock out Tag out (LOTO) schemes.
Troubleshooting operational difficulties, evaluating & reviewing plant/equipment performance, achieve targeted plant availability, & suggest relevant measures to extend plant life.
Commissioning & Handover activities for 5 blocks of (3 X GE Frame 7FA GTs coupled with DOOSAN make Triple Pressure, Vertical type Unfired HRSGs & 1 X GE make heavy duty D11 Steam turbine TC2F-34.5-LSB)
Function testing of various combined cycle equipment in coordination with EPC contractor & technical consultants for logic review & suggest suitable modifications based on operational experience.
Commissioning & field testing of various vendor based equipment like - Intake area drum screens, trash rake screens, Tube cleaning systems for Condenser, Heat Exchangers, Vacuum pumps, Condensate Extraction pumps, Boiler feed pumps, Strainer backwash systems, Air compressors & dryers etc

Worked as a Lead Engineer, closely with central energy group to identify & execute improvements in furnace optimization, steam traps optimization, insulation thickness optimization etc.
Served as Team leader for Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), a part of DuPont Process Safety Management.
Prepared various Field Change Orders (FCO) for any change of technical nature to streamline the existing processes or to adapt to new process / update in technology as per best engineering practices.
Worked in an environment complying with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001, BSC (British Safety Council) standards, DuPont safety standards.
