I am a highly motivated, organised and determined construction professional with a wide range of experience in finishing and fit-out construction, primarily gypsum board partitions, suspended ceiling systems and fire stopping. Since graduation, I have worked on a variety of prestigious large scale, fast paced commercial and residential projects in multiple international locations. Package Manager with additional site management responsibilities for three of the project sub-contractors for dry lining and fire stopping activities project wide.

$1.2bn mixed-use commercial scheme which is over 500,000m2 and consists of four levels of basement car parking, retail podium and five towers, the tallest of which is 75 storeys comprising residential units and commercial office space – the biggest in Central Asia.

Responsible for delivering the dry lining and fire stopping package across the entire project. The dry lining scope is approximately 250,000m2 of partitions and ceilings. This includes 15,000m2 of high-quality retail podium ceiling with curved and acoustic design, 293 five-star hotel guest rooms, 119 luxury apartments and three tower blocks of mixed-use commercial office space with a combined total of 133 storeys. The fire stopping scope – providing smoke and fire protection to all service penetrations and voids across the full project. Summary of responsibilities;

Manage all three sub-contractor’s safety on-site, ensuring they adhere to the project safety plan. Carry out daily toolbox talks and random safety inspections to enforce high safety standards.

Manage all three sub-contractor’s scope agreements to ensure all items within their package are being addressed: safety, commercial, design, procurement, logistics, programme, progress and quality.

Manage all three sub-contractor’s scope of works to ensure all items within their package are being actioned whilst making sure contract conditions are being implemented. Manage and prepare all variation claims and review all invoices before submittal to commercial teams and clients.

Manage the design co-ordination of all three sub-contractor’s. Hold weekly engineering workshops with all relevant trades to guarantee that our teams on-site have the latest approved drawings and detailed information.

Manage all three sub-contractor’s procurements of materials, delivery schedules and logistics. Prepare detailed material take-offs and plan them into a of delivery schedule to match programme requirements. Co-ordinate with site logistics teams before deliveries arrive on-site to allow timely and hassle free off-load and distribution into relevant areas within the project.

Manage the progress of all three sub-contractor’s and take actions to ensure programme dates are met. Monitor and review the output of sub-contractor’s labour to ensure sufficient resource available to complete tasks on time whilst co-ordinating with MEP and fit-out trades to avoid delays. Prepare detailed daily and weekly progress reports for internal use and for official submittals to client.

Manage the quality of workmanship and installation of all three sub-contractor’s. Monitor the sub-contractor’s own internal QA/QC ITP plans and make sure they are in line with the company QA policy and project requirements. Conduct regular QA/QC toolbox talks and random quality inspections to ensure the project specification conditions are being achieved.

I worked on several projects with specialist Dry lining Subcontractor, Astins Ltd. I gained valuable on-site knowledge and experience performing different roles, including Site Manager and QA/QC manager while working on different types of commercial and residential developments for several main contractors. Each project included the direct responsibility for mobilising labour daily to ensure operatives safely built to the correct details, correct quality standards, within the required timescale and budget.

I am well versed in various types of specialist drywall partition and suspended ceiling systems and, the related MEP and fit-out coordination that is required to construct the systems successfully. I learned how to implement the required sequence and relevant BS standards, 8212 and 13964, to achieve high-quality finish on the first attempt. I was also heavily involved with procurement and logistic departments, responsible for producing detailed material take-offs and transferring the information into a material delivery schedule which would be called-off in line with the latest revision programme of works.
