Heavy Equipment consultant/Package manager

Over most of my 30+ years career, I have worked in a site management/superintendent/ project/package manager capacity, ensuring heavy crane/pipelay/ROV/subsea equipment is safely installed on vessels and subsequently commissioned ready for operation.
I have an in-depth knowledge cranes, pipelay and subsea equipment, controls systems and interfaces including the required rules and regulations for work offshore in a variety of countries.
I have worked in many countries around the world and have excellent man/project management and communication skills and knowledge of equipment regulations. I am also adept in writing manuals/procedures and take pride in delivering projects on time and within budget.
I have a long list of achievements that I am proud of and feel that my previous success, acquired knowledge and multitude of contacts within the oil/gas/renewables industry could be utilised by any employer.
I feel that my wealth of experience and knowledge is unique where I can handle tasks/detail at any level and can work autonomously as required.

Provided administrators for the defunct Ceona with contacts and technical support resulting in the sale of the Ceona Amazon vessel and associated equipment.
Interface Manager/Site Manager

Successfully managed the build, installation and commissioning of the pipelay equipment and cranes to the Ceona Amazon prior to Ceona going into administration.
Vessel Interface Manager

Successful specification, contract negotiation, site build management and commissioning of a new concept portable flex-lay tower and equipment, delivering a completed system to Technip Flexi-France base.
Provided essential input into the EMAS Constellation portable reel design. Successful management of the site build and commissioning of a flex-lay tower for the AMC Constructor vessel.

Also during this period, I successfully managed the final stages of commissioning on the SS7 S-Lay barge Antares in Africa.

Pipelay Systems Superintendent

Providing technical support for all of Technip’s pipelay vessels. During this period, I suggested and provided valuable system improvements to several vessels which resulted in better operations/cost savings.
Chief Pipelay Engineer

Provided daily operational management for the Technip Vessel Deep Blue during offshore operations and successfully day-day running the lay techs, operators and vessel equipment budget.
Hydraulic Systems Engineer

This position included the successful day-day management and running of the CSO Apache and CSO Deep Blue hydraulic systems and equipment in an offshore role.
Project Engineer (Hydraulic systems)

Successful design, specification, procurement and commissioning of crane hydraulic systems, mostly converting clutch cranes to full hydraulic operation. This position included conducting hydraulic training courses to Sparrows clientele.
