Plant consists of two rotary Kilns for Ore processing(Vanadium), dust handling system(bag filter house & cyclones plant), feed bins & screws, thickeners, concentrators, conveyor belts, Coal ball mills, classifiers, Fans, magnetic separators , pump stations and leaching dams

 Ensure minimum plant availability of 90% by:

 Manage and set targets for Engineering Foreman
 Conduct daily maintenance feedback meetings, covering feedback on past day’s activities
 Auditing preventive maintenance schedules to comply with specific set standards
 Manage maintenance work orders, conduct weekly review of work order status and manage completion thereof
 Identifying critical equipment and ensure detail and maximum stock levels available to stores system
 Compile and manage the Maintenance & Capex plan for each budget year in consultation with departments heads, foreman and plant managers
 Implement condition based monitoring on relevant critical equipment, manage overall plant shut plan for each month and annual shut
 Standardise equipment throughout the plant to a reasonable accepted level
 Supporting Plant manager with review and development of maintenance strategies
 Responsible to evaluate spare stock levels on an ongoing basis to balance plant availability and stockholding capital
 Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure best possible price, quality and after sales service
 Ensure all suppliers are evaluated for according to all relevant purchase procedures

MAINTENANCE BREAKDOWNS:

 Review downtime information and address recurring problems by conducting root cause analysis with maintenance teams, leading to identification of main causes of breakdown, verify close-out of these main causes
 Review information and address recurring problems by implementing corrective action measures
 Take management control of all maintenance breakdowns where duration is estimated to be more than 2 hours or an advanced engineering solution is required to fix the breakdown

 Optimize plant availability by identifying bottlenecks and provide suitable proposals of improving the process, address process problems with department heads by investigating various alternatives to alleviate the specific problem
 Compile capital project proposal and manage each capital project from conception to turnkey with available technical manuals, maintenance schedules, operational procedures and spares
