I am interested in joining your team of educators as your new Physical education instructor.
I have over 30 years of international teaching and Director experience as the Director of Operations for The Little Gym Malaysia, Regional Director for The Little Gym of the Middle East/North Africa, Regional Director for The Little Gym Australia and as a Director for several programs worldwide.
I have coached and taught at the High School level in several countries where I have introduced lesser known sports such as Lacrosse, American Football and European (Team) Handball and I created and taught the curriculum for the CCA Gymnastics After School Activity for the British International School of Kuala Lumpur from 2016 – 2018.
I am a former collegiate lacrosse player playing for Division 3 SUNY Cortland in the 1988 NCAA Championships as well as participating in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics for Team California in the Exhibition sport category and recently played on and won a National Championship for the +55 year old Team Harley Davidson. I currently play for Team Malaysia and have coached the Singapore Women's team.
My superb communication skills, forward thinking and team work has given me vast experience and success where I taught and managed in the USA, Kuwait, Dubai, Australia and Malaysia where I currently live now.
I am a Childhood Development Expert and an innovator, in 1990 I created the first special needs preschool PE program in NY State. I created an activity called the ‘Batting Station’ and wrote an article in the ACLD journal. The Physical and Occupational therapists then charged me with incorporating the child’s therapy goals into my classes which then became the standard for EIP in the state of New York.
I can coach any sport and any age group and have many years of coaching experience in sports such as lacrosse, basketball, soccer, American football, hockey, volleyball, gymnastics, baseball, golf, tennis, badminton and swimming.
I have a unique style of teaching kids where I utilize humor and adapt lessons to build a student’s confidence ensuring they enjoy my classes and are successful as they progress at their own pace.
My teaching philosophy is that any skill, lesson, game or activity can be adapted and made fun so that a child can gain confidence and be successful. It’s been said that I am the ultimate dichotomy “Seriously Fun” because I am very serious about teaching students but I do it in a fun way.
