Develop adequate policies, procedures, processes and systems for the cost control functions to maintain efficient operational excellence.
Prepare and finalize the company’s Annual Operational Plan in co-ordination with the operations & department heads.
Prepare and finalize the Business Plans for the upcoming projects and provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections, thereby assisting and providing support to the senior management and operations in making better informed decisions.
Perform technical and commercial review of tenders before the finalization of contracts. Review contract documents, project drawings, specifications and BOQs in order to prepare an accurate & comprehensive workable budget and cost control plan.
Involve in the development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the projects with the heads of the Estimation, Planning Dept. and the Project Manager. Perform cost budgeting to develop and finalize cost baselines for monitoring the project performance. Also, involve in the adjustment of baselines during the re-planning phase of projects.
Review, analyze and monitor the monthly progress and costs incurred in projects for revenue recognition and reporting of cost provisions in line with the IFRS standards to the CFO & Accounting Dept.
Prepare detailed monthly Project Costing & Cost Center Costing Reports showing the performance of projects, divisions, cost centers and net results of the company for presenting to the senior management, operations and department heads.
Prepare regular project performance reports along with trends, forecasts and variance analysis to provide review of project's operational and financial performance and effectively communicate the results to all the related parties in routine meetings. Highlights significant savings and overruns in project costs. Recommend necessary corrective measures and actions to bring the project back in line with the plan/budget.
Control the procurement of resources and expenditures of projects in co-ordination with the Planning and Procurement Dept.
