Over Fourteen (14) years of experience in various Material Management (MM) roles while working with Owner & EPC contracting organizations in India and Overseas. Worked with diverse portfolio of clients like Shell, Dow, Ma’aden, Irving, Lyondell Basel, Suncor, Exxon Mobil, Petro-plus, Marathon, Duke Energy, Encana, Sasol, Reliance Industries, Vedanta, Tata Steel to name a few. Activities performed:
Material Management:
- Develop MM procedures, execution plans, scope of work, RFQ/PO templates
- Develop MM schedules, reporting and progress templates, milestones & systems set up
- Develop staffing curves, man-hour estimates and manage buyer/expeditor package allocations
- Attend/lead department capability meetings with clients and other offices for cross selling
- Identifying department hiring needs, conducting interviews and providing trainings to new hires
- Perform performance assessment, support salary planning and monitor staffing on projects
- Develop department training plans, training material and quality assurance procedures
- Conduct project and procurement department audits for ISO/Project procedure compliance
- Run Material planning reports such as expediting priority, material deficiency per CWP etc

- Prepare and/or & approve procurement deliverables like Bid List, RFQ, Bid Evaluation, PO, Change Orders, Commercial Clarifications, Invoice Approvals, PO Close Outs etc
- Lead/Oversee critical pre and post award meetings with suppliers including Bid Conditioning Meetings, PO Kick Off Meetings, Logistics Co-ordination meetings etc
- Perform/support buyers in Terms and Conditions, Price, Delivery negotiations for critical PO’s
- Support development of LSTK proposals (equipment and bulk prices & strategies)

- Conduct/support expeditors in production schedule review & analyzing supplier progress report
- Conduct/co-ordinate with quality & logistics for timely inspection and goods movement
- Conduct shop inspections for identifying potential manufacturing delays & mitigation
- Coach and guide team members on expediting procedures especially fabrication steps

- Support development of heavy haul or other logistics contracts
- Carry out/oversee third part logistics billing review and approvals

Category Management:
- Conduct shop audits for new vendor accreditation and AVL development
- Support project cost estimation/optimization by verifying Equipment Selections & BOM/MTOs
- Develop equipment/bulk cost modeling and benchmarking
- Develop cost optimization strategies such as standardization, direct mill purchase etc
