AREQUIPA POTABLE WATER-TREATMENT & DISTRIBUTION PROJECT - ASOCIACIÓN CERRO VERDE, AREQUIPA, PERU: 2011 – 2013
Provided expert project management, construction and commissioning support of an ultramodern 3 cubic metre per second potable water purification plant. Expertly handled Construction Management of 42km of large bore main distribution pipeline including a 124m long high pressure section of seismic event resistant cable-suspended pipe-bridge across the Rio Chili Canyon and the commissioning of reservoirs; completed on schedule and 8% under budget.
Leveraged technical and ethical expertise in establishment of organisation structure to ensure efficiently evaluated and selected suitable contractors and suppliers (local and international). Diligently reviewed, analysed and contributed to the project’s baseline schedule and the contractor’s schedules and ensured that constructability, resource loading and inherent risks were correctly catered for; this was a major contributor to the project’s being completed on schedule and 8% under budget.
Successfully negotiated and implemented mutually favourable costing structures and ensured that cost estimations were both accurate and sustainable: this contributed to the project’s being completed 8% under the approved budget.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT & ALL AREAS ALTERNATIVE MANAGER
Supported the owner/client in managing the EPCM team (all disciplines) and expertly rendered management support of the construction activities with an investment value of $900 Million. Project entailed construction of new leach pads, mechanical ore stackers and all associated ancillaries including: stainless steel tanks, pipelines, ore irrigation/aeration systems and upgraded ore screening and crushing circuits.
Diligently worked as construction superintendent and promoted to all areas alternative manager as well as coordinated a rigorous construction and concrete production & supply programme; directly oversaw installations of conveyors, mechanical and pumping equipment and pipe-rack assemblies as well as the installation and TOFD testing of multi-materials large bore piping.
Actively provided expert project management support and skills to the client, EPCM and contractors concerning any technical aspects related to constructability issues, construction and hydrostatic testing of stainless steel tanks, piping installations and vertical pump assemblies.
Efficiently accommodated a proactive and constructively seamless flow of Client/Owner management presence during the individual (multi-discipline) area managers’ regular R&R rotations.
