DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES AS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/SITE MANAGER
Manage all onsite construction functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems and requirements approved by the company
Function liaison between engineering, procurement and construction.
Manage project close out activities.
Responsible for constructability review during engineering phase.
Coordinate interface with operations and construction activities to identify, coordinate and mitigate risks associated with SIMOPS.
Lead a multi-disciplined construction team in the execution of the project and development and execution of the project schedule and man-hour and financial budgets.
Coordinate transition to commissioning team ensuring completion of incomplete work lists as designed and approved during MC process.
Provide input for development of construction schedules to planners and review of overall project plan, verifying adequacy of resources and allocating them as and when required.
Coordinating the HSE activities as per the company HSE policies and directives including scheduled audits, weekly, monthly meetings, TBT’s, PTW coordination meetings ect.
Review and approval of monthly progress reports. Monitor and coordinate project deliverables in order to optimize construction efficiency and cost. Ensure that any variance is addressed to and agreed with client and implemented.
Prioritize resource allocation to various activities as per the schedule, coordinating with plant and maintenance department, inform higher management about the manpower mobilization and other resource allocations requirement timely for the smooth execution of the job.
Participating and implementing and monitoring adherence to the QA policies and suggests improvements required for continuous development of Quality Management system.
Lead internal quality audits with site QA Manager and verify the adequacy of implementation of QA policies/procedures
Provide regular progress of the project through daily/weekly/monthly/reports with respect to
review of overall project schedule.
Anticipate and resolve problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts to achieve on time/earlier deliveries to keep project on schedule.
Develop a cost report per month that details costs and expenditure for the period, forecasts the completion of the project with an aim of minimizing the variance. Manage Project indirect overhead budgets .
Monitor sub contractors performance throughout the duration of the project and ensure full records are maintained for claims/change orders executed. Chair the meetings with sub contractors and drive a proactive and inclusive approach on all issues.
Ensure any change in project schedule on the part of customer/vendor/Contractor are captured commercially and contractually.
Plan and manage all projects temporary facilities.
