I take this opportunity in introducing myself as Raghunath, residing at Tuticorin. I completed my B.Tech in the year of 2008-09 under Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh and completed my PGDC in Thermal Power Plant Engineering at NPTI, Neyveli in the academic year of 2011-12.

I have 6+ years of operation experience (Boiler & Turbine) in 2 x 210 MW TPP and 1.9 years of experience in 2 x 80 MW TPP and currently working as a Senior DCS/ Control Room Engineer in Wartsila India Ltd.

 BTG supplied by M/s BHEL.
 Boiler: Sub critical, assisted circulation, Corner fired, drum type, balance draft.
 Turbine: Sub Critical Condensing Steam Turbine, Single cylinder double casing and ACC Condensation system.
Designation: DCS Engineer [Operations]
Duties, Roles and responsibilities:
 Working as a Control Room Engineer/Desk Engineer (Operations).
 To monitor all the activities and performance of the Boiler & Turbine in the assigned shift.
 Responsible for smooth Start-up and Shutdown of Turbine. Whenever required, taking and giving proper instructions & guidance from Subordinates during normal running & plant emergency condition.
 Handle the emergencies like Black out, Load throw-off and Islanding conditions.
 Ensure safety of men and equipment during operations with PPE norms, 5s, BBS and LOTOV procedures.
 Prepared & Implemented the Operation sequence of Boiler lit-up - Rolling - Synchronization - Coal Mill & BFP – Load rising & proper shutdown.
 Familiar with Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s) of Boiler & Turbine startup (Cold, Warm & Hot).
 Ensure proper entry of all Parameters/Readings in LOG Books and LOG Sheets in assigned shifts.
 Permit To Work (PTW) system with proper maintenance activities.
 Coordinate the functioning of Field Engineers.
 Reporting to UCE and Shift in charge all the shift activities timely.
 Preparing TG area defects list, punch points and follow up the same to completion of the job.
 Active participation in My Ideas, Kaisen, SGA activities.

 Involved in checking of Interlock & Protection of various equipment & system of TG, Boiler & their auxiliaries.
 Actively involved in the first Boiler lit-up, Turbine Rolling & oil synchronization, Coal Synchronization.
From 1st March 2012 to 31st August 2015.
 Worked as a Turbine Desk Engineer.
 Perform the Synchronization and load rising of unit in efficient manner.
 Ensure proper maintain of all unit parameters.
