ENGINEER - SMART METERING
Conduct meeting with vendors & collect information regarding different types of smart water meters, analyse DEWA smart meter implementation requirements.
Coordinating M bus cabling activities carry out by contractors and subcontractors for the implementation of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
Configuring & Testing smart water meters ( Hydrus, Elster,Badgermeter, Kamstrup, Sensus ), conduct meter acceptance testing as per DEWA standard (test flow rate, low high cut off, alarms handling etc.).
Configuring & testing different types of communication technologies and devices like M2M cellular router,GPON, LTE, RF mesh etc.
Configuration, testing & commissioning of MUC’s (Multi Utility controller) installed at individual buildings to collect water meter data, set up online communication of MUC’s with DEWA Data centres.
Coordinating with Etisalat for the design & development of secured smart water meter communication, configure & test water networks.
Analyse water meter data collected from MUC’s and import the details to SAP systems and in AMI HES( ZONOS).
Create notification in SAP for different AMI use cases like meter installation, replacement, alaram handling etc.
Ensuring adherence to DEWA HSE Standards and Guidelines in all areas of work.
Analyse the daily meter online meter data in HES for different consumption and alam cases ( like leakge, overflow, air in pipe, reverse flow etc).
Deal with customers to inform DEWA Smart Water Meters System programs, resolve conflicts and difficulties during water meter replacement.
Reviewing checklist, as built drawings submitted by contarctors,supplers,Maintaining and updating record of work, manpower utilized, time taken etc.
Create work orders and obtain work permits, review scope of works realted to DC plant automation & Control and prepare technical specifications and necessary documents.
Creating flow diagrams, sequencing operations, overseeing bills of material, networking layouts and electrical schematics as required for smooth running of DC plants.
Allocating work, ensuring the availability of materials and also following-up the process to ensure satisfactory completion
Participating in safety meetings, auditing and provid recommendations & feasable solutions
Maintaining accurate and complete facilities technical information, including cause and effect charts, project risk assessments and area classification etc.
Evaluating District Cooling plant ‘s technical problems related to instrumentation and control
Ensuring adherence to HSE Standards and Guidelines in all areas of work
Carrying out monthly SCADA, Database, PLC software backup and all software maintenance of DC plants.
Installation and commissioning of field instruments, field instruments calibration, loop checking, troubleshooting of pressure, level, flow, temperature transmitters and switches (high-low), control valves and ON/OFF valves
Providing training and guidance to new employees and operators in the plant
Checking and monitoring district cooling plant water treatment activities, dosing pumps and conductivity analysers
Participating in District cooling plant field surveys, site studies, site check-out s and and DC plant upgrades & expansion.
Scheduling & coordinating preventive and predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programs
Reviewing check sheets, reports and all documents drawings (as built,P &ID, Hook up, ILD etc.) as per specification and standards and preparing snag list
Maintaining and updating record of maintenance work, manpower utilized, time taken and also spare parts used on the daily basis
Contacting with maintenance and operations personnel to inform them about the available resources of the units for shutdown purposes and following up on execution of scheduled maintenance work.
Programming and Testing: Performed microcontroller programming and testing.
