Chief of Party/Deputy Chief of Party to deliver USAID’s large infrastructure program. Completed 52 designs and constructed 29 projects serving 1.8 million Palestinians in Water, Road and School using local and global engineering teams. Led stakeholder engagement at Minister level to identify priorities to agree with the national strategy. Program projects covered full project lifecycle from Study, Planning, Design, preparation of Tender Documents and Contracts, to Bid Stage, Conformed Document and Construction Management. Projects included 27 roads, eight (8)4,000 m3 water reservoirs, new sewerage for 9,000 population, new water networks for over 50,000 people, a 3,600m3/day seawater desalination plant, beach wells and brine discharge. Critical designs were completed in a fast track six (6) month schedule to meet client financing requirements and received internal award for cooperative working. Conducted negotiations at senior levels with the Israel government to facilitate project execution in West Bank and Gaza. Built capacity within local engineering and construction companies. Employed over 30% women in a traditionally male dominated environment. Projects (design and construction) accepted as setting the standard for the West Bank and Gaza in terms of construction management, safety and quality.
