Relining of two in number 2130 cubes Storage tanks, construction of 700 metre Stainless Steel pipeline complete with metering, sample points, PIGS and valves for the storage and distribution of ADBLUE 30% UREA Solution. All project plans, supervision of contract installers and liaison with the Client. Weekly reports to the Management Board. This was an outstation location, procurement of all materials and responsible for complete project budget.

Based in Queen Elizabeth II Port, Freetown Sierra Leone. Appointed at a time of great upheaval in the Company, due to mismanagement from the previous regime, I had to start Team building and mentoring for a very inexperienced Management team was the number one priority. My wealth of knowledge in Port operations, Logistics Warehousing, Cargo discharging, Oil and Gas and Engineering has made this task easier although challenging it has been very rewarding. The company is now achieving the results expected by the shareholders. NSBT operate the Port under a Concession from the Sierra Leone Government and has undertaken a Port Expansion project to construct two new berths’.

Duties and Responsibilities.
To Lead the Company to achieving all the goals and KPI’s agreed with Nectar Group Limited
Direct and coordinate activities of departments concerned with the operations, tariffs warehousing, Technical and Financial.
Manage staff, ensuring correct work schedules and specific duties are correctly assigned.
Lead health, Safety and Environment policies are implemented.
Ensure full compliance to Port Security and ISPS Code is implemented.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Developing and Building Teams encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Coaching and Developing identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Drive the Port Expansion Project to completion within the allocated time frame and to budget
Liaise with all Sierra Leone Government Agencies, especially Sierra Leone Port Authority (SLPA).
Report weekly to Nectar Group Limited Directors on Project progress, financial, H&S, Port Security, Operations, Technical and HR issues.
Reduce manpower limits.
