I have considerable experience within HSE and Training, both Offshore and Onshore in the Oil & Gas industry, in Drilling, Heavy Engineering Construction, Civil’s and Construction and Production. I also have a variety of technical skills in the drilling industry prior to joining the HSE department. I am an effective communicator and team player and have worked both in the UK and on the international circuit for many years.
Developed and rolled out HSE questionnaires and carried out evaluations of potential Contractor’s for projects.
Assist in the writing of HSE procedures, bridging documents, emergency response documents and SMS.
Carried out inspections / audits / TBT’s / risk assessments and inductions.
Training of personnel in risk analysis / hazard identification, PTW, Isolations, stop work authority, toolbox talks, simultaneous ops, emergency response, work at height, dropped objects, lifting & rigging, confined space entry, forklift driving, spill response, chemical awareness and use of gas detector. Coaching trainee HSE Advisors. Fire team member.
Developed various scenarios for emergency response exercises and procedures. Updated; Risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, Lifting Ops (LOLER) Assessments. Accident / Incident investigation using Tap Root and Topset systems.

I worked in the ExxonMobil refinery in Botlek, Rotterdam, Holland. My roll was to provide HSE advise and guidance to Barrier personnel working onsite. I would report to Barrier management and the project and ExxonMobil HSE managers on a daily basis. I would carry out onsite inspections of safety equipment, ensure all procedures and relevant risk assessments were being adhered to.
