KEY SKILLS:
Fully conversant with the development, implementation and maintenance of HS&E(Q) management systems [to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 (DIS 45001) / IFC and other applicable international standards]. Able to develop management system documentation from Corporate policies, objectives, Key Performance Indicators and initiatives through Project specific plans and Site specific procedures. Experienced in reporting on multi project implementation and compliance monitoring to board level.
Solid experience of HS&E(Q) management in diverse settings and locations including multi-site operations. Front line responsibility for site HS&E(Q) performance monitoring and enhancement, budget management, tender specification and review, bid submission, supply chain and contractor management. Experienced in the programming, development and delivery of HSE training including professional development of local and international project team members.
Construction and operational phase project command and control trained emergency responder with experience of producing emergency preparedness plans and acting as site emergency controller. Able to investigate and analyse incident and accident occurrences and produce, implement and follow through corrective and preventative action plans.
Experienced in the planning and carrying out of audits to 2rd party level based on corporate and international standards and national legislation / regulations and inspection of multiple project locations. Knowledgeable in ISO, NFPA, OSHA and UK safety standards, management of ‘life critical’ elements of construction safety and work in high hazard environments.
Effective communicator comfortable with influencing and negotiating at all levels with regulators, clients and contractors. Adept at managing multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-lingual workforce personnel in a wide variety of projects. Experience of developing and managing HSE training programmes in the classroom and in the field, including behavioural and observational based safety systems.
