I took up a role in July 2014 as head of commercial, contracts, legal and procurement of a wholly owned Punj Lloyd company called Sembawang Engineers and Constructors in Singapore. This company carries out work in the rail & tunneling sector, civil and infrastructure sector and building sector. I have overall responsibility for commercial, contractual and legal matters, procurement, and risk and process management and I sit on the JV Board for a JV project for construction of an MTR Rail station in Hong Kong. Sembawang is owned by the Punj Lloyd Group of Companies.
In addition to the above role, I am now appointed as Head of Contracts for the Punj Lloyd Group of Companies with the responsibility of overseeing all Pre-Contract and Post-Contract contractual matters for all group companies. Punj Lloyd predominantly operates in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Infrastructure construction industries with a turnover of approximately US$ 2.3 billion per annum and they operate across India, SE Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and the CIS States.

Leighton Contractors Indonesia undertook mining, civil engineering and building projects across Indonesia. My role was to head up the commercial and contractual function for all civil and building projects, including some in very remote locations, from project award to project completion.

Due to the company failing to secure their anticipated volume of work in Indonesia and the restructuring of the Leighton group following the Hochtief takeover, my role in Indonesia came to an end in June 2014. Leighton offered me a transfer to Hong Kong in the role of Commercial Director on a US$ 1.2 billion project in Hong Kong, but I opted to take on a more senior management role with a new company in Singapore.

I was head of the Commercial Department with full responsibility for managing all QS/Commercial staff (16 people) in the company. This company undertook marine construction projects, district cooling pipelines, aviation fuel hydrants and tank farms. I had full responsibility for commercial and contractual matters on all projects undertaken by the company.
