Since joining Hypercheck I’ve been involved in 1 minor and 2 major projects. I was singlehandedly tasked with analysing and optimising the Bread Ahead factory, located in Briardene and owned by Hypercheck. Their ordering, stock, production and dispatch systems were analysed and problem areas identified. Recommendations were then made to streamline their processes and reduce labour costs whilst maintaining product quality and yield.

At the Hypercheck Head Office, I was tasked with auditing the Financial Management Pack for the Hypercheck group. The purpose of this audit was to verify the validity of the data presented to the Directors during their board meetings. Data was extracted from Sage Pastel and compared to both their in-house stock management system, and manual source documents. Discrepancies found were then reported and further investigated.

Hypercheck then tasked me to work with a Senior Engineer in developing an ERP system for the business. Business processes were analysed in each department, with a focus on HR; Finance and Operations, and potential areas for automation and integration were identified. Functional requirements, tied in with business requirements, were generated and recommendations to fulfil these requirements were developed. Quotes were then obtained and a formal proposal, including an implementation and monitoring plan, will be presented to the CEO for approval.

My duties involved the maintenance of all factory machines to ensure downtime was minimized and all machines were running optimally. To do so fault testing was done and damaged components were replaced or repaired. The machines were then calibrated and tested to ensure products produce were of a high quality and meet yield requirements.
