Summary
Experienced Process Engineer (over 30 years of post graduate experience) with demonstrated ability to undertake roles that encompass project delivery, technical and team leadership responsibilities.
Detailed knowledge of a wide range of process technologies and design / work flow practices: in-house developed, client supplied and third party/process licensor provided.
Thorough experience of key project phases incl. production of engineering deliverables: Front End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, procurement and construction support, start-up and commissioning, facility engineering and operation support, plant capacity debottlenecking and revamp projects.
International experience: worked on four continents (Australia/New Zealand, Europe/UK, South East Asia, North America).
Worked on projects for major contractors and operating companies, including: WorleyParsons, Wood Group, PSN, Jacobs, Brown & Root, Chevron, TOTAL, Shell, Woodside, AGL, Orica, QGC (BG), Origin Energy, Santos, Dow Chemical Company, at locations including Australia, the UK, Malaysia, New Zealand and Croatia.
ACHIEVEMENTS i.e. “What I can do for you”
Played a key technical role in revamping three existing LNG trains that resulted in the LNG production increase from 6 million mtpa to 7.2 million mtpa.
Lead a 15 process engineer strong team responsible for production of issued for bid engineering package, a fast track project executed successfully in 6 months.
Commissioned gas dehydration and glycol regeneration facilities (gas throughput in the order of 1,200 mscfd) incl. offshore hook-up and pre-commissioning activities.
Lead a 6 process engineer strong team responsible for production of exhaustive low temperature review study (brittle fraction considerations and low temperature material selection). The multi discipline review employing API RP 579 methodology that concerned a newly constructed 70 mscfd gas plant was successfully completed for the client to retain their operating licence.
Lead a 4 process engineer strong team responsible for production of detailed design deliverables for Field Compression Stations (FCSs) being part of a first major Coal Seam Gas (CSG) project in Australia.
Successful troubleshooting and modification of a 1.2 MW stabiliser overheads compressor. To avoid tripping on high current, until solution was found, the compressor (reciprocating type) had to operate partially unloaded, which kept causing extensive damage to bearings and frequent and costly repairs.
EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Lead for single discipline teams (3 to 25 Process Engineers).
Extensive offshore and onshore oil and gas experience upstream and downstream, incl. FPSOs, fixed platforms and LNG plants.
Worked on brownfield and greenfield projects ranging from 100 thousand to several billion dollars.
Extensive FEED and detailed design experience.
Extensive experience in facility engineering, operation support, plant capacity debottlenecking and revamp projects.
Hands-on commissioning of offshore and onshore facilities incl. preparation of commissioning, start-up and operating guides and procedures.
Extensive experience in plant low temperature reviews (brittle fracture considerations and low temperature material selection).
Design and HAZOP reviews (ICI certified HAZOP leader).
