I am an experienced asset manager with over 20 years’ experience managing construction delivery, leading design teams, risk management and managing infrastructure Health Safety, Heritage & Environment issues. A proven problem solver, team builder and project manager, experienced line manager and multi-disciplinary team leader, delivering complex tasks.

Led the largest flood risk appraisal package for the Environment Agency following Storm Desmond.

Led the project team to deliver flood risk management strategy leading and developed a diverse team of graduates, experienced appraisers, technical specialists and developed experienced staff new to the sector (Up to 35 people in a management matrix) to appraise flood management options at 10 sites in Cumbria and Carlisle.

Co-ordination, Stakeholder Engagement, Interdisciplinary Checker & Authorisation. Day to day team management, management of deliverables, stakeholder engagement, technical overview of appraisal. Took personal responsibility to meet the customer’s needs, introducing lean working to facilitate a culture of delivering what we promised when we promised it. Required anticipation of the needs of many conflicting interest groups and management of expectations based on factual evidence.
