I am a highly motivated individual with a penchant for the HSE profession. Has the ability to plan and co-ordinate operations at different levels of competence. A progressive career to date which has provided a well-developed working knowledge of Health & Safety Environment. Responsibilities have encompassed diverse aspects of management, setting and achievement of targets, liaison at all levels from management to lower management. • Provide SHEQ advice and guidance to the business.
• Responsible for and drive Health, Environment, Quality and Security management.
• Coach, guide and advise operations staff in their SHEQ responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve and develop SHEQ alignment and performance across the operation.
• Provide strategic SHEQ advice to the business to support long term cultural growth and development.
• Support the business in developing pertinent and relevant continuous improvement plans and assist in monitoring their achievement.
• Constructively identify and share positive highlights and opportunities for improvement and learning within and across the business.
• Network with industry associations, companies, Safety & Security professionals and regulatory bodies and benchmark Sunrise Energy SHEQ standards against the Oil & Gas industry and international standards.
• Develop & implement training programs for the Crisis management and Emergency response teams.
• Generating weekly/monthly leading and lagging indicator reports for submission to the Board of Directors.
• Play a pivotal role in delivering company HSES improvement strategy, overseeing Sunrise Energy safety culture programme by innovating and sharing new and engaging ways to keep our people safe which focus on individual accountability, personal behaviours and acts.
• Manage the development of a risk-based, values-driven approach to HSSE management, leading and establishing the necessary conditions to drive safe and sustainable practices, culture and mind-set.
• Ensuring compliance with current HSE legislation ( OSH Act 85 of 1993 and its regulations ).
• Day to day management of the HSE department.
• Liaise with the client & contractors HSE department.
• Reviewing of safety method statements.
• Day to day up keep of the HSE management system.
• Lead incident investigation and develop reports with corrective active actions identified.
• Development of procedures as necessary to support the Health and Safety Plan.
• Implement a site audit and inspection program, including contractor compliance audits.
• Develop information for contractors to include in weekly Tool Box Talks.
• Implement an effective training program.
• Implement initiatives in support of the Sunrise HSE program.
• Permit Coordinator for work activities on the terminal.
• To ensure the implementation of Emergency Response Plan & Crisis Management Team. To implement and manage the site HSE induction programme.
• Monitor performance of the site HSE team.
• Provide legislative guidance as required.
• Implement a recognition program to recognise HSE performance
• General promotion of HSE on the terminal.
