Summary

I am Jotham Musiime, a mathematics and physics teacher, holding a bachelor's degree of science with education. I've served as Head of math and physics in 2 schools in the past 6 years, where I've also been able to deliver international curricula (both the IGCSE Cambridge and American curricula) in Uganda and Burundi respectively.

1. Leading a team of 9 mathematics teachers in the department.
2. Led training and facilitation of 6 new staff, contributed to their selection for appointment and professional development.
3. Managed a $30,000 science department budget for the academic year 2018/2019
4. Successfully initiated and ran he school chess club.
5. Trained high school students in SAT standardized tests that led to 680 average points and subsequently translated to 80% pass rate.

In this international Christian secondary school running the American curriculum, the following were my achievements:
1. Managed and ran the school character counts program that saw the social and spiritual lives of 250 young students changed for better.
2. Contributed to the school accreditation process by the National Association of Private Schools (NAPS) by heading a steering committee that reviewed the departmental development plans along side the school improvement plan and action plan.
3. Headed a team of 6 science teachers to develop a curriculum map for the science department based on Florida state's and tailored it to meet the needs of an African student.g
4. Trained grade 12 students in SAT that saw 40% admitted in american colleges and 50% in major African universities.
