I spent 03 years at the Naval Postgraduate School (US NAVY 1985 – 1988 ) in Monterey, California, working at the AEGIS Lab, in a project which allowed the modification of the fire control system of the Ticonderoga class cruises of the US Navy .

On 1990 – 1991 Founder and First Chairman of Computer Chapter , IEEE Venezuela Section

On 1992 , I was awarded by Venezuelan Navy with the" Innovation Technology for 1991 " due to the" Design and Implementation of a computerized logistic system for the maintenance support at the major Navy base" .

MILITARY SERVICE

Honourable Discharged ( January 3rd,1998) with the record of 200,000 miles of maritime navigation .
Current condition: Retired, 23 years of service.

That position implied the management / Programming of the ordinary and extraordinary corrective maintenance for the entire refinery El Palito ( 140.000 Brls/ day, Venezuela ) as well the contracting and bid process of those works that were unable to be effected by own workforce . For the time being the planning executed works was enhanced to 85 % ( 73 % on December 2004 ) . Also were implemented programs for Reliability Centred Maintenance , and the starting on the use of the Balance Scorecard, as well the development and utilization of KPI to improve the Refinery El Palito , Maintenance management . Also I worked with a software named CASP version 8.2c for Plant Shutdown Planning, executed on January 2004 as well the Galvanic Protection of all the pipes and oil storage tanks of the Refinery . The management as interim of the Oil Crude Terminals of the Refinery for four times of two month duration each one . I performed as the HSE focal point for Maintenance division of the refinery during 3 years, setting in function the BBS system . Also I worked for 3 years in the Project for Increment of Catalytic Cracking ( 3.200 MM US $ ) , being a part of the Overall Project Management Team in the review and input to bids, tenders, scopes FEED design, and detailed design.
