Summary

I have a sound BSc (Mech. Eng.) degree and MSc (Eng.) background and further postgraduate studies on cost engineering, planning and schedule engineering and quantity surveying, with multi-discipline experience have given me the opportunity to work in different industries in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, Australia and South Africa for over 20 years with the broad understanding of the project management, technical, planning/scheduling, cost engineering, contract and commercial management of construction works, civil/structural/mechanical aspects of Power Station, LNG Storage Facilities, Mining Plant Process Modules, Pharmaceutical Process Plant, Mechnical Building Services projects. My experience among others includes involvement on the execution of mega projects as follows:

• 5,000 MW Medupi Power Station Project, Lephalale, South Africa (on going), as part of the boiler FIDIC Engineer’s team, I have undertaken various tasks related to contract and commercial management supports to Employer’s construction and commissioning execution teams which I have contributed to successful commercial operation of Unit 6 and 5.
• Pluto LNG Project, Karratha, Western Australia, as a Project Cost Engineer, I have contributed to the project team efforts resulting to company profits and successful completion of design and build contract for 2x125,000 m3 LNG tanks and 3 floating condensate tanks.
• Goro Nickel Project, New Caledonia, as a Contract Administration Manager, AG&P, I supported the successful completion of Goro main process modules and load out from heavy fabrication yard to site, involving contract administration of different supplement packages and training of supervisors on execution of cost reimbursable contracts.

The primary purpose of current role is to support the Senior Package Project Manager and Discipline Commercial Manager in relation to technical, contractual, commercial and claims matters of boiler contract package design and build
contract deliverables for supercritical boilers, Medupi Power Station mega project. The role utilizes knowledge and experience on aspects of power plant engineering and project management, commercial and contract management in particular FIDIC Design and Build contract edition (yellow book). This involves interaction and consultation with the Employer’s construction and engineering team and Contractor’s construction, commissioning commercial and engineering team in order to progress the works and resolve design and contractual issues.
