Summary
I have a 21 year Law Enforcement experience which is very valuable for Security operations and related matters.
My 8 year Health and Safety experience includes a Senior HSSE Officer, Wind Power Project Site HSSE Manager, Petroleum Construction Site HSSE Advisor, Regional HSE Officer and well as Permit to Work Issuer.
My operational experience includes management, supervising, loading and hauling, crushing and screening, stockpiling, registration of certificates for explosives as well as the transporting permits. Worked at Black Mountain mine in Aggeneys, Kumba and Arcelor Mittal plants in Saldanha
My most accomplished projects includes the construction of the largest Fuel Retail Service Station per square meter in the world for Shell at M2 East, Johannesburg, South Africa. Providing 365 casted cement foundations for the biggest Wind Turbine farm on the Africa continent for the Lake Turkana Wind Project in Kenia. The first Green Star (Environmental accredited) Fuel Retail Service Stations in the world for Shell at N 4 East and West bound, Rustenburg, South Africa.

The Site Safety Officer is responsible for the coordination of the site’s HSSE responsibilities as per Respective Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. The Site Safety Officer is responsible, but not limited to the following duties:

Roles and Responsibilities
The Permit Issuer (PI)
Responsible for the following:
• Take the PI training and pass the exam with 90%. Refresh every 2 years;
• Take all necessary steps to prepare, authorize and issue Permits;
• It is not necessary for the PI to remain on site for the duration of the work;
• Prove training and testing for Permit Holders;
• Confirm the Permit Holder has passed the qualifying test prior to issuing the
Permit;
• Review the Job Hazard Analysis that was prepared by the Permit Holder;
• Signing off on the Permit once the work is complete and confirming the work
area has been cleaned and left in a safe condition;
• Closing the permit can be done by a different permit Issuer;
• The PI cannot be member of the work crew that will execute the task for which
the Permit is issued.
