From sales executive to creative, I've excelled in the digital space for the majority of my career. I've curated and written content for social media, websites and magazines. After identifying a client's needs, I can efficiently increase website traffic using SEO and SEM. I have a knack for creating effective marketing plans.

In the past year, my career has found new life in the healthcare enterprise field. Currently, I'm a behavioral health data specialist — I minored in Psychology — at a Fortune 100 company called Centene. My role is best described as an Excel-obsessed project manager within clinical administration. The most interesting aspect of my job involves analyzing our members' patterns and behaviors.

In my free time, I study coding through an educational program called LaunchCode. I'm learning the programming basics of Python, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. My focus is on front-end development. I will graduate with a certificate in February, 2018. MBA with an emphasis in IT anticipated December 2019.

The strategic communication track prepares students for careers in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and integrated marketing communications. Students develop core skills in writing, editing, storytelling and design throughout their freshman and sophomore years. In upper-level classes, students further develop skills in areas more focused on strategic communications, such as message development, research methods in strategic communications and strategic campaigns. The idea is to help students understand the fundamental skills of journalism, while specializing in more strategic communication based courses.
