Summary

I ran my own language school with 350 students and 10 teachers. I was responsible for designing the syllabus and the curriculum for the school as well as providing my teachers with regular training. I also kept track of school attendance, student progress (through regular staff meetings), and issued reports and certificates. Apart from the Academic part I was also responsible for the financial part of the business and development of it. Finally I made sure the advertising and marketing parts of the business were well organized and used to further the expansion of the business.

This is a course designed for teachers teaching young learners and teenagers. It is taught by IH and supervised by Cambridge.

It is a 50 hour course that includes 30 hours of input sessions, 3 hours of teaching practice, lesson planning, tutorials, 2 written assignments, homework and observation tasks.
Sessions cover areas such as: Child Development, Clarifying and Practising Language, L1 in the classroom, Teaching Very Young Learners, Teaching Adolescents, Material Design and Selection.
