Summary

I am a professional planner with significant experience in the Oil and Gas industry and have also worked in aerospace and defence. I have a strong sense of logic and enjoy solving problems. I am responsible for working with the Project Manager & management team to develop the project which I then construct using Microsoft software or Primavera P6 dependent upon management preference. I maintain the plan on an on-going basis and work closely with the project team and external contractors to ensure successful results to the customer. I provide centre of excellence for planning for all projects within my portfolio.

• I am the sole project scheduler on-site for capital projects within the refinery and am responsible for all planning works associated with the design, procurement & construction.
• Responsible for Creation of project schedules in Primavera P6 for the estimate phase of a project and once approved & capitalised, I Baseline the schedule and maintain the plan throughout the lifecycle until completion.
• As well as working with the internal project team, I Liaise with all external contractors on-site and present reports such as look-a-heads to ensure they can resource correctly with manpower for the nature of the works.
• During Turnaround (shutdown) of the plant I Create & maintain schedules broken down by the hour and highlight critical paths due to the importance of this period.
• Create and maintain excel project tracker sheets which give a high-level overview to management of estimated completion dates, current status of project and spend to date highlighting if over or under budget compared to baseline.

• Responsible for integrity of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) ensuring that all activities, events and milestone are logically linked and fully resourced with labour hours, materials, subcontract payments and reserves.
• Perform analysis such as critical path, schedule risk and variance analysis. The IMS is required to be statused weekly/monthly, aligned to the fiscal calendar and provide an accurate Cost to Complete (EAC) for financial reporting.
• Carry out independent analysis of trend data and provision of metrics for review at Programme Monthly Review Boards.
• Ensure contractual and programme changes are incorporated into the IMS to maintain a realistic baseline, maintain analyse and provide Earned Value reports and guide the Integrated Project Team on the use of EVMS.

• Regular trips to the production plant in Sens (South of France) to check on the status of physical equipment and if necessary, liaise with the production team and / or purchasing for an improvement on the build / testing schedule of certain project components, to ensure customer delivery is maintained.

This includes Tender schedules that provide details of engineering tasks – which considers internal capacity and man hours, project milestone activities including billing milestones through to manufacturing of parts and finally parts being mobilised offshore.
