Programme and Project Management (Jacobs – Mace JV) for Expo 2020 Dubai. Part of the Real Estate & Delivery team and currently leading a team of 8 in charge of the design, procurement and construction of a number of projects, including operational buildings (e.g. emergency service buildings, central command center, operations centers), and the Opportunity Pavilion which will be one of three signature thematic pavilions located in the Thematic District of the Expo 2020 Campus. Scope includes pre-contract, procurement of design and construction contracts, design management and post-contract work on these different projects, with a combined contract value of US$150,000,000.
- Senior Project Manager – Al Seef – Dubai, U.A.E. (October 2016 – May 2018)
Project management for Meraas Holding on the Al Seef project, a 1.8km redevelopment along the Dubai Creek. Assigned to manage cost, schedule and overall project delivery of the contemporary part of the Al Seef development, which includes 2 high-end hospitality venues (a 150-key 3-star hotel and a 200 key 4-star hotel), F&B and retail units, a marina with pontoons, outfall structures, a signature water feature, and a water pavilion. Responsible for the procurement and construction works on the development, managing the various interfaces, and serving as the main point of contact for the F&B and hotel operator (Jumeirah Group) throughout the close-out, handover, and opening of the development.

Project management for Dubai Parks & Resorts (DXB Entertainments), leading a team of 8, in charge of the project delivery of the DreamWorks theme park section within the Motiongate development, comprising 730,000sf of fully covered and air conditioned character-themed spaces including dining and retail outlets, and 12 attractions and rides. Responsible for the facility scope of the project (Contract Value: US$136,000,000), managing the main contractor, the design consultants, and ensuring the overall coordination between the different show and ride vendors, and the creative directors.

In a bid to implement best (international) work practices and processes in the local Indian market and to establish compliance with international standards for Safety and Quality, both developer and contractor decided to invest in resources with vast Middle East experience (high rise, QHSE, fit-out) to turn the DLF Crest project into a benchmark project for future reference on project and corporate level. From that perspective appointed as a Technical Director and given the task to analyse, enhance/alter and implement work processes, methodologies and procedures in order to achieve immediate improvement in the field of workmanship, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, engineering, Quality and Safety as well as restructuring of Larsen & Toubro’s internal organization of departments on project level. Key initiatives undertaken on the project include preparation and optimization of formwork and scaffold methodologies and set-up and implementation of rebar prefabrication design and methodology, as well as the creation of fully operational satellite prefab yards for fabricating and fitting of rebar cages for the RC superstructure of each tower, to enhance safety and quality aspects and achieve significant increase of steel and formwork productivity and hence reduction of concrete cycle time. The successful implementation of these initiatives in the first six months on the project reflected through a 100% increase of steel fixing productivity as well as the achievement of five million safe man-hours without LTI on site.
