I am an established Merchandise and Online Trading Manager with a career in merchandising and online trading spanning over 17 years. Using my extensive experience having worked within several online retailers, I am a specialist in e-tail merchandising. I am highly analytical with strong trading, planning and forecasting skills. I currently manage an online trading team of 6 people, including overseeing a team of over 30 people in Pune India, where our support team are currently based. This has given me the experience to effectively manage a large team through strong communication and development to ensure optimum productivity. I am highly skilled in managing the website with in-depth knowledge of optimising content, functionality and navigation, driving KPI’s to maximise sales and profit.

Managing the e-commerce website on daily basis (product and content upload, site optimisation and merchandising)

Drive the strategy for the department
Top line planning including identifying the building blocks, where opportunities lie to give direction to the Merchandisers to then plan and present back within their teams.
Plan at Category/Brand level with the Buying Director to submit a plan that reflects the best possible mix of product to deliver the KPI's
Attend business review meetings with the Buying Director and Brands, to review performance, agree new Plan for next season and identify where pressure points are to ensure best working practices.
Be responsible for the pushing of the department forward through proposing new and better processes, effective planning and be the driving force in implementing these.
Ensures Buying and Merchandising meet KPI’s, managing sales plan through regular re-forecasting to maximise profit. Minimise terminal stock through rebalance of stock & commitment.
Work with supply chain to ensure suppliers meet agreed terms including compliant deliveries.
Review weekly trading performance with merchandisers and achieved KPI's, ensuring issues are identified and setting the course of action in weekly trade meetings
Work with Marketing to ensure Brands are fully promoted on site and through social media, newsletters, Blogs.
Work with creative to ensure imagery is of highest standard and site content is interesting and engaging.
Manage the Merchandising team, through weekly team meetings, 121 catch up, regularly reviewing objectives to identify development needs and ensuring cohesive relationships with other functions in the business not just within Buying and Merchandising.
Manage Site Optimisation team, ensuring the web site runs quickly and smoothly, SEO and Key Search Words are optimised to attract new/existing visitors to site and images are interesting and engaging to increase conversion and UPT.
