Very conscientious and proactive combined with diverse Engineering and Instrument, Control & Automation / Electrical Design experience both in UK and numerous locations abroad.
Extensive Instrument Design experience incorporating; ESD, DCS, F&G, Drill systems, I/O schedules, Block diagrams, Instrument / Equipment / Cable Routing Layouts, Instrument Cable schedules, Detailed MTO’s, Loop Diagrams, Hook-ups, INtools and Database management.

Electrical Design experience incorporating; Equipment & Lighting layouts, Single-line diagrams & Small power layouts, Cable-Tray Layouts, Grounding / Earthing, Trace-Heating and Distribution Board schedules.
Experience in both disciplines gained whilst working not only Onshore, but also on Offshore Rigs, Land-based Terminals, FPSO and Drilling facilities both in UK sector; Aberdeen, Newcastle, London, and various locations abroad; Holland, Kazakhstan (Tengiz / Uralsk), Monaco / Singapore, Nigeria and Japan.

Limited involvement with PDMS, but actively involved when project requirements dictated use of PDMS view facilities or similar. Would welcome opportunity to increase computer design skills in this area.

Invaluable Engineering & Design experience in following project structures: Conceptual, Pre-Feed / Feed / Basic Engineering, EPC and 1st & foremost; Detailed Engineering Design. Systematic and thorough with regards to: Completion of project-orientated tasks, Identifying relevant project procedures & guidelines, Knowledge and understanding of standards, codes, specifications and statutory requirements associated with ongoing design & operation, whilst ensuring any/all project variations are understood and followed throughout Concept, Design, Installation and Construction.
Also experienced in: Multi-disciplined / E&I-bias Construction Workpack compilation in both Written-word and population of E&I-related Job cards.

Proven ability: Managing, Developing, Design, Checking, Co-ordinating, Construction liaison, and Trouble-shooting of large Design Office / Site-based Projects.
Valuable experience: Controlling Project budgets / Deliverables, Design estimates, Company Recruitment, Costing & Technical Reviews, and commitment to ensuring all design deliverable target dates / milestones are met.

Successfully set up & ran In-house Design Training programme for Nationals whilst on International assignment in Tengiz, Kazakhstan. Programmes included both Microstation and AutoCAD design systems, running in parallel with closely monitored Technical & Site experience. Invaluable experience & proven ability in leading Multi-cultural / Multi-disciplined teams, whilst establishing strong, healthy working relationships with Upper Management, Engineers, Vendors and respective Team Assets, especially when placed in tense and inhospitable working environments, thanks to a pleasing work / social disposition.

Actively involved in Southern North Seas Platypus over Cleeton Feed project for Perenco Oil & Gas, inclusive of tie-ins to Dimlington Terminal, Easington, England.
