I have had diverse posts covering most aspects of the industry, in many different countries and dealing with many different nationalities. This, I believe, demonstrates not only flexibility, but also excellent communication skills both within the employing company and in dealings with clients.
Recently employed on the Al Houara Coastal development project after working on two major Projects in Doha, Qatar, I have previously completed a Contract on the Cheves Hydropower Project in Peru, which had more than 120 claims and 180 VORs Registered.
Prior to this, I was with Julius Berger Nigeria handling a portfolio of projects, with an annual turnover of some € 800, 000, 000 with a variety of clients ranging from Government Ministries and Agencies to Private individuals and Companies. Whilst there is a general problem in Nigeria of non-payment on Government Projects due to a shortfall in appropriation, and although some Project are currently suspended, all are in a generally healthy condition.
I am experienced in the application of the FIDIC forms of Contract and their variants, and have no problem with local forms which are generally based in ICE V, or the JCT Contracts.
Although I believe Claims avoidance is the preferred route, I have a successful history of Claims preparation and resolutions.
I have always been convinced that teamwork is the precursor to the success of any venture and have applied this premise with each appointment I have had. Bringing my experience as part of any team could be of enormous benefit to any employer.
