Summary

My name is David Gulua. In 1999, I graduated with honors from the faculty of Informatics and control systems of the technical University of Georgia and received a master's degree in technical Sciences. In 2006, I defended my thesis on modeling of distributed systems.
In 1996-2001, I worked as a IT-consultant at the Department of automated control systems of the Technical University of Georgia, and since 2002, continued my activities in Germany, first within the framework of the postgraduate scholarship of German Academic Interchange Service (DAAD), and then on the position of IT administrator at the Computer and Media Department of Humboldt University of Berlin.
During this period, I gained a lot of practical experience with computer science. Starting from 2009, after returning home, I began to combine practical and teaching work in the field of information technology. Extensive practical experience, which I accumulate by working in the rank of system and database administrator at Tbilisi State University, gives me the opportunity to conduct effective training activities both in my native language and in English in different higher educational institutions of Georgia and to find a good balance between theory and practice.
Nowadays, I have an experience of about 10 years in the teaching field as an Associate professor of Computer science. My teaching assignments include both introductory as well as higher level courses in different fields of computer science. I would describe myself primarily as a Professor, which easily manages to find a common language with the students. In my classes I always try to create an atmosphere, which is equally comfortable, both for successful and relatively backward students.
And finally, I would like to highlight the main directions of my teaching activities:
• Introduction into information technologies
• Methods of imperative and object-oriented programming
• Relational databases and database management systems
• System administration and management of corporate information systems
