During the clinical rotation, I was exposed to daily interaction with patients from different departments within the hospital, mainly CCU and internal medicine. This involved reviewing patient file (medical diagnosis, laboratory values, patients' medical history, family medical history, intake of medications, prescribed diet) and giving the appropriate counseling and educational handout (for HTN, diabetes, CVD, gluten free, low residue, gastric ulcer, renal). Moreover, applying the nutrition care process, and developing the appropriate dietary management plan for some cases.
