Establish and approve policies, processes and procedures and set standards and benchmarks for (PMD) the Project Management Department.
Lead strategy planning for (PMD) unit covering design development and construction management, engineering services, contracts and planning, and project administration, approving them for implementation.
Develop annual plans and budget for (PMD) unit and project-specific budgets in alignment with the strategic business objectives of the organization.
Oversee project execution and manage potential variances from performance, quality, time lines and budget.
Manage and monitor end-to-end Consultant and Contractor management, including review, finalization and appropriate communication of contractual terms to concerned project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
Ensure the adherence to contract, covering quality, plans, timelines, staffing, change orders, H.S.E and regulatory reporting requirements and compliance with reports.
Ensure the alignment of (PMD) unit and its financial objectives to the strategic goals of the division and the organization, impacting the bottom line.
Review and negotiate contracts in relation to design and engineering, Identify potential cost reduction opportunities.
Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with vendors, distributors, state agencies and other organizational entities.
Oversee and direct Development and Project Management Directors on all local approvals and entitlements.
Lead meetings with Consultants and Contractors and the project management team to determine deliverables, finalizing and approving them for implementation.
Conduct other duties and special projects as required.

Set and agree objectives for key staff aligned to job appraisals.
Ensure commercial objectives for individual projects are aligned with resource levels.
Work closely with commercial team and project management to ensure budgeted margin levels are being realised.
Review monthly commercial reports with project management team and report in meeting with CEO.
Responsibility for all key subcontracted packages with particular emphasis on Health and Safety. Advise CEO of any potential problems in sufficient time for the issues to be addressed.
Agree target budgets with Contract Management.
Produce bi-annual report reflecting current status to assist CEO in the formulation of direction and policy.
Undertake short to medium term forecasts for Staff and advise CEO of any shortfall/surplus linked to future order book and projected scheme completion dates.
Interface with joint venture partners where applicable.
Manage the tendering process and allocate sufficient, suitably experienced staff to work within the Estimating Department to produce high quality, competitive tenders.
Work winning within the specified business sectors.

Developed master plans and designs coordinating the appointment of consultants and contractors.

Due to the situation in Syria, the works on the ground on Khams Shamat & Airport Road Developments had to be put on hold in January 2013 while we continued with Design Development from our HQ in Dubai.
Consequently beyond January 2013, I was overseeing the following projects:
Mall of the Emirates Expansion was undergoing a redevelopment worth $272 million titled ‘Evolution 2015′, the project will provide for more stores, dining and entertainment options at the mall. It was scheduled for completion by 2015.
Al Zahia Development a joint venture with Sharjah Holding is an integrated mixed-use community, featuring a range of villas, apartments and commercial units. Ideally located in new Sharjah in close proximity to Sharjah University City, Sharjah International Airport, SAIF Zone and the major road links to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
