I am an enthusiastic, motivated Petroleum Engineer currently seeking employment. I’ve worked as a Reservoir Engineer in the exploration and production sector of the industry, evaluating potential future projects and maintaining production forecasts and reserve estimates for existing assets. I have operations experience on offshore production vessels and both onshore and offshore (semi-sub) rigs. I have extensive experience in guiding and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in onshore, unconventional development - from wellsite identification to sales. I have a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering (Honours – 1st class) from the University of New South Wales, Australia, am eligible to work in the UK and believe I have the relevant experience and skill to fulfil the requirements of this position.
The bulk of my time at BHP Billiton was spent coordinating and managing the full lifecycle of 100+ onshore wells in the West Texas Permian Basin, from conception to first sales. Total capex for these projects exceeded USD 2 billion. I prepared and tracked AFEs (USD +15MM/project) on each well and presented these to upper management for go-ahead approval. I applied my strong leadership and communication skills, along with technical understanding, in this role to ensure timely completion of each project, with buy-in from all stakeholders.
As a Reservoir Engineer, I was charged with proving up projects, forecasting/modelling future production profiles and reporting reserve estimates for conventional assets in the Southern Carnarvon Basin offshore Western Australia and the Atwater Foldbelt of the Gulf of Mexico. I’m proficient with ECLIPSE, MBAL, GAP and PROSPER, with working knowledge of WellView software.
Integrity and trust have been crucial in each team I’ve worked in, and my honest, easy going and approachable demeanour have always helped me to achieve the desired results. I am a committed employee, in part evidenced by my 5 years volunteering as a member of the on-call (24hr) Incident Management Team (IMT), trained to respond and manage emergency situations at any time. I have no qualms with working in a field-based environment (8+ months of offshore experience and countless site visits to West Texas). Having travelled extensively, I am adept at communicating and engaging in a multicultural setting. I am highly mobile and available immediately.
I am re-entering the workforce after an opportunistic hiatus during the most recent industry downturn. I spent the last 2.5 years traveling the world, volunteering in various countries for several different causes. I’m passionate about travel, rugby, ice hockey and surf lifesaving. I speak conversational French and Spanish. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my CV.
