My name is Arno Schouwaert, a driven, enthusiastic salesperson with an array of experience in the field of sales. Connecting people and building relationships is my passion, besides fanatically playing guitar. People close to me will label me as social and well-humored, something that makes me strong in the type of function I am looking for. Furthmore, I am an optimistic person with a good sense of humor which makes me an enjoyable person to be around. My studies, International Business and Management, has prepared me for a career in the international business life. All classes were completely in English with students from all over the world. As a second language I chose Spanish and have achieved a level B1 proficiency. In addition, I completed an internship in Barcelona, Spain, and an exchange semester in Seoul, South-Korea. In these situations, amongst others, I have learned to quickly adjust to new circumstances, and to create new relationships with people from all over the world.

National Pen is a multinational corporation that produces and sells a large variety of promotional products. As an account manager I am responsible for pro-actively approaching clients and create new sales opportunities. I also fulfill an advisory role for my customers. After the first three successful months, I was promoted to a different department and am now responsible for my own database of large clients. This means I am now the contact point for business executives and managers in advising, placing orders, processing payments and solving potential problems. I was also mentor for new employees which I guided through their first months at National Pen.

At Tele2 I played a big role in the pilot phase of a new product introduction to the Dutch market, Office 365. I was responsible for acquiring the first customers for this new service, and for guiding them to their new electronic environment, in close cooperation with a partner in England. Additionally, I contributed to the selection of sales techniques and I created the product and sales trainings for new employees.

Contact Care takes over the full support function for hundreds of companies in the Netherlands. I was responsible for a variety of tasks for a diverse set of companies. This could differ from dealing with complaints, to planning appointments and house viewings for real estate agents. Also, I was responsible for the inbound sales opportunities of a large Dutch telephone company.
