Project: 3rd Bridge Over Orinoco River (Venezuela)
Value: US$ 225m Client: ODEBRECHT
Scope of works: The project consists in the manufacture and assembly of steel structures of a two-level 4160 m and 55.000 tons bridge, made in 70-meter modules and approx. 800 tons , for stay cable in the central span of 360 meters. The lower level is for a railway line, the top level is for an highway . The bridge is a mixed structure bridge (steel and concrete), the steel elements are weld and bolted

Responsibilities:
• Leading the team of technical direction comprising 2 site engineers, 1 QA/QC
engineer, 2 topographers, 1 quantity surveyor, 7 QA/QC inspectors.
• Writing and reviewing Method Statements for all the lifting activities on site.
• Coordination of transportation of the structural elements from production plant
to the site.
• Planning and management of all lifting operations.

Scope of works: The project consists in the realization of two buildings with concrete structure: the first one is a 22 floors tower, 100m of height with an “eye shape” layout with an area of 1170 m2 based on a deep foundation composed of 156 bored piles of approximately 33m longs and a diameter of 1000mm with 16 pile caps of different shape and dimensions. The second building is a 9 levels car park of which 3 underground, covering an area of 3600 m2 based on a slab foundation. The entire project included 34.000 m3 of concrete and 48.000 m3 of earthworks
