Summary

I am a versatile and highly accomplished Electrical Specialist with over 20 years’ experience within all aspects of management and supervision working on major Onshore & Offshore Projects. I also have in excess of 15 years’ experience working in senior level roles on brownfield and greenfield projects, along with an extensive career working for Tier 1 Contractors, EPCM Consultancies and Client Side both in Australia and overseas covering 18 years.

During my career I have worked on numerous multimillion and multibillion projects such as my current position on Ichthys. I have held various titles across many aspects of the project as E&I Superintendent, Electrical Superintendent, Engineer, QA/QC Senior Supervisor and Module Manager. My current scope of works now entails carrying out on the LNG/LPG and Condensate loading and offloading Jetty Project. This involves the Installation, pre-com inspections, commissioning and hand over of all Jetty E/I&T packages. I also have extensive experience working overseas and leading large teams such as overseeing a team in the Philippines of in excess of 100 personnel, including Technicians and Inspector’s.

• Oversaw the construction and fabrication of all Electrical & Instrument installations. This included in excess of 100 personnel from Electrical Technicians, Instrument Technicians, Telecom and Data Technicians, Structural Technicians and QAQC inspectors, EEHA Technicians and painters.
• Worked closely with the client (Inpex) and reported to them and the Field Manager on a $1 Billion package.
• Supervised a workforce of 100 Filipino’s and coordinated SIMOPS with Mechanical & Structural Groups.
• Directed various multi-discipline Sub-Contractors through completion of IR and ITR processes.
• Conducted HAE installation inspections and monitored Quality Control aspects.
• Wrote daily and weekly reports.
• Wrote 3 week look ahead’s and Vendor forecast plans.
• Liaised with the client and upper management of a daily basis.
• Carried out site recruitment, visas for expats, mobilisation/demob plans and also organised accommodation for the initial new starts.

Main achievement:
• Completed all 26 Modules within the timeframe without injury or major incident. The project from a JKC / Inpex perspective was a major success story

Duties:
• Lead a team of 25 Filipino E&I Technicians and directed subcontractors (HHI) on a $500 Million package.

• Total team consisted of 5 Managers and 85 workers.
• Ensured commissioning and handover of all systems within budget and in a timely manner.
• Wrote operational procedures, implemented safety procedures, supervised workforce.

• Acted as the Electrical Interface Leader between Monodelphous and Customers, ensuring adherence to Rules and Regulations.

• Reported to the Power Lead Manager and production plant operators for SIMOPS. OXY (Occidental) and ONOC (Omani national Oil Company) were joint owners Oxy were the sole operators. Both were considered as the client as OXY owned more than 65% of the fields interest.
• Worked most closely with the Maintenance Department and Team managers.
• Daily site meetings with the Client to plan and discuss problems and rectifications, and improvements.
• Coordination of Electrical and Mechanical crew to program work scopes packages and rectification works.
• Promoted Safety First Ideology and work towards and achieve Zero Harm.
• Ensured all necessary documentation supporting work activities is compiled and made available to the Client. Any sub-contractors brought to site were required to submit documents and plans to myself for SIMOPS and possible problems with production.
• Issued permits for all associated equipment within the field.
• Led the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on operational and newly commissioned material and equipment, including Wellheads, VFD’s, Steam Generators, and Coalesces etc.
• Involved in the installation of Hazardous Area Equipment and the implementation of preventative maintenance.
• Instructed nationals in the installation and maintenance of Hazardous Area equipment and trained local labour.

Main achievement:
• As the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and later the Area Lead, I controlled the day to day Maintenance of the entire field Block 53. This meant I had a team of 25 Inlecs and 25 Mechanical Technicians which safely and without any incidents maintained in good working harmony and the 100% confidence of the company.
